# Getting Started

## What is Preset?

Preset is a cloud-hosted data exploration and visualization platform built on top of the popular open-source project, [**Apache Superset™**](https://preset.io/apache-superset/). Our fully managed service makes it easy to run Superset at scale with enterprise-ready security, reliability, and governance.

### Getting From Data to Dashboard

### Supported Browsers

Preset is a web-based data exploration and visualization tool. While it may run in multiple browsers, our **officially supported browser is Google Chrome**.

#### Known Information

- **Chrome:** fully tested and supported.
- **Other Chromium-based browsers** (e.g. Microsoft Edge, Opera): may work, but are not officially supported, and behavior may differ.
- **Non-Chromium browsers** (e.g. Safari, Firefox): not comprehensively tested; some features may not work as expected.

#### Recommendations

Use the latest desktop version of **Google Chrome** for the best compatibility and performance.

If you encounter issues in another browser, try reproducing them in Chrome to confirm if they are browser-specific.

Review or disable restrictive extensions (e.g. ad blockers, script blockers) that may interfere with Preset.
